A different destination. A foundation you already own.

01 — START WHERE YOU ARE
Select work you have actually done. These illustrative role families are mapped to your selections; they are starting points for research, not a qualification assessment.
Selections stay on this page. They are not saved or submitted. No signup is needed.
02 — PUT IT INTO PRACTICE
A pivot becomes easier to assess when the employer can see familiar problems, credible evidence, and a manageable learning gap.
Read five relevant job descriptions. Separate recurring skills from industry terminology, tools, and mandatory credentials.
Write what you accomplished, the transferable skill it demonstrates, and where that skill solves a problem in the target role.
Use a small project, short course, or practitioner conversation. Check whether the gap needs a credential before paying for training.
Ask three people doing the work what you are overlooking. Apply to a small set of roles and use their feedback to adjust.
03 — MAKE IT CONCRETE
Planning lessons, checking understanding, and adapting explanations can support training work. Learn the target audience and authoring tools.
Managing service, staffing, and exceptions can support operational roles. Show scale, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
Discovery, account relationships, and problem-solving may transfer. Learn onboarding, adoption, and retention responsibilities.
04 — YOUR WORDS
Fill in three short facts to draft a starting point. Edit it until it sounds like you. Use accurate information you are comfortable sharing.
Your draft will appear here once all three fields are filled in.
This uses a simple sentence template. Your text stays on the page and is not saved or submitted.
05 — KEEP PERSPECTIVE
“In my work as a [previous role], I developed [skill] by [specific example]. I’m exploring [target role] because it uses that capability to solve [problem]. I’m currently closing the gap in [tool or domain].”
06 — GO TO THE SOURCE
U.S.-focused resources. Check the source for current requirements and availability.
07 — COMMON QUESTIONS
Not always. Your level depends on the overlap between your evidence and the new role. An adjacent move can preserve more seniority than a complete change. Compare scope, compensation, and learning demands before assuming a reset.
Check mandatory requirements in actual postings and speak with practitioners. Regulated work may require formal credentials. For other roles, a targeted course and strong work sample may address a specific gap more directly.
It can help translate language and identify questions, but verify every claim. Keep titles, dates, qualifications, and achievements accurate. Never add tools or responsibilities you have not used.
Review where the process stops. No interviews may point to targeting or evidence problems; interviews without offers may suggest a skills gap or unclear motivation. Ask for feedback and change one variable at a time.
